Find the Right Class
At The Dance Factory, we believe every dancer deserves to be placed in a class where they can grow, build confidence, and be challenged at the appropriate level. While many of our classes have recommended age ranges, all placements are ultimately based on age, experience, technical ability, and instructor recommendation.
Preschool Programs
Creative Movement (Ages 2-3)
An introduction to dance through music, movement, imagination, and creative play. Dancers develop listening skills, coordination, balance, rhythm, and confidence while having fun in a positive environment.
Tiny Combos (Ages 4-5)
Young dancers are introduced to ballet, tap, jazz and acro, while continuing to develop coordination, flexibility, musicality, and classroom skills.

Recreational Classes
Ballet
Ballet is the foundation of all dance styles and focuses on developing proper technique, posture, flexibility, strength, balance, and grace. Dancers will learn classical ballet vocabulary, barre work, center combinations, and across-the-floor progressions while building discipline, confidence, and artistry.

Tap
Tap teaches dancers to create rhythm through intricate footwork while developing timing, coordination, musicality, and precision. Classes focus on proper tap technique, rhythmic patterns, and performance skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Jazz
Jazz is a fun, energetic style that combines technique with dynamic movement and performance. Dancers will develop flexibility, turns, leaps, musicality, and stage presence while learning age-appropriate choreography in a variety of jazz styles.

Acro
Acro combines dance technique with athletic tumbling skills, emphasizing strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and safe skill progression. Dancers work on age-appropriate acrobatic skills while developing the control and technique needed to seamlessly incorporate acrobatics into dance.
Irish Step
Irish Step Dance is a high-energy style that emphasizes rhythm, precision, coordination, and intricate footwork. Dancers will learn traditional and modern Irish step techniques while building strength, stamina, musicality, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

Lyrical
Lyrical combines the technical foundation of ballet with the expressive movement of jazz to tell a story through dance. Dancers develop strength, flexibility, musicality, emotion, and artistry while learning to connect movement with music and express themselves through performance.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop is a high-energy class that explores today's popular dance styles while encouraging confidence, creativity, and individuality. Dancers will improve coordination, musicality, strength, and performance quality through upbeat choreography and age-appropriate movement.
